Our hospice nurses provide regular visits focused on comfort, symptom management, and quality of life. They monitor changes in condition, help manage pain and other symptoms, coordinate medications and treatments, and communicate closely with physicians and caregivers. Families also have access to 24/7 on-call nursing support for questions, concerns, or changes that may arise.
Hospice aides provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living. This may include help with bathing, grooming, dressing, repositioning, and other personal needs. Care is always provided with dignity, respect, and sensitivity to each patient’s comfort and preferences.
Hospice can arrange for equipment and supplies related to the terminal illness to be delivered directly to where the patient lives. Depending on individual needs, this may include a hospital bed, wheelchair, walker, oxygen equipment, bedside commode, and other comfort-related supplies. Our team helps coordinate delivery and ensures families understand how to use the equipment safely.
Hospice social workers provide emotional support, practical guidance, and assistance navigating the many decisions that can come with serious illness. They can help families access community resources, discuss advance care planning, address caregiver concerns, assist with financial or logistical questions, and provide a supportive place to talk through difficult emotions and decisions.
Spiritual care is available to patients and families who wish to receive it. Our chaplains and spiritual care providers offer a compassionate presence, emotional support, prayer, reflection, and guidance based on each individual’s beliefs, traditions, values, and preferences. Spiritual support is always personalized and never imposed.
Caring for a loved one with a serious illness can bring many questions. Our team helps families understand changes in condition, symptoms that may occur, medications, comfort measures, and what to expect as the illness progresses. We provide practical guidance and reassurance so caregivers can feel more informed, prepared, and supported.
Support continues for loved ones after a loss. Hospice bereavement services may include grief education, individual support, phone check-ins, written resources, referrals to community programs, and other services designed to help families navigate the grieving process. Everyone experiences grief differently, and support is tailored to each family’s needs.
Hospice needs do not always happen during regular business hours. Our team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to answer questions, provide guidance, and respond to urgent comfort or symptom concerns. Families can feel reassured knowing help is only a phone call away.
